For Spring season - 2019
 

SUMMARY:  Help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

1. Pre-Season Responsibilities:
2. Determine equipment needs.
3. Announce and hold tryouts for team.
4. Plan and organize practices.
5. Assign responsibilities to assistant coach.
6. Prepare eligibility list.
7. Arrange for transportation to away games.
8. Schedule scrimmage games.
9. Schedule practice time for gym and weight room during inclement weather.
10. Condition and prepare team for competition.
11. Works with trainers to attend to athletic training needs of athletes.
12. Distribute uniforms and other equipment
13. Other duties may be assigned.

 During Season:

1. Arrange for early dismissals when necessary.
2. Meet with assistant to plan for practices and games.
3. Organize practices.
4. Attend coaches' meetings.
5. Prepare game statistics.
6. Report game and statistics to newspaper.
7. Attend to game responsibilities.
8. Prepare tournament entry when necessary.
9. Arrange transportation for post season play when necessary.
10. Notify affected persons of cancellations when they occur.
11. Other duties may be assigned.

 Post-Season Responsibilities:

1. Collect and account for all uniforms and equipment.
2. Store uniforms and equipment.
3. Make All-District nominations.
4. Complete individual statistics sheets for athletes.
5. Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises all team members.
